We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to support our headquarters office in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security event log and fraud analysis and assist in determining threats and developing alerting parameters
  • Research and respond to third-party Security Operations Center notifications
  • Perform Incident Response activities as defined for the Security Analyst role
  • Maintain current security hardening procedures for server operating systems and applications
  • Assist with conducting periodic network security assessments
  • Understand current security trends and new technologies that will enhance corporate and company-developed security architectures
  • Identify, report, and resolve security violations
  • Maintain Information Security systems and solutions to ensure continued operation, logging and security service, both corporately and as provided to customers
  • Assist in reviewing and updating Information Security policies
  • Promote security awareness by configuring security training through online educational program, onsite supplemental orientation sessions and ongoing inter-team communications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience is required
  • 1-5 years experience in information and network security
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud security, AWS preferred
  • Knowledge of risk management process
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Practical knowledge of the elements and processes of corporate security
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, including networking protocols
  • Knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, with a background in scripting
  • Knowledge of penetration and hacking techniques and tools and countermeasures
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required
  • Certifications desired: CCNA, CCDA, CISSP, GIAC
