We are currently seeking a Senior Revenue Assurance and Billing Analyst to work at our corporate office located in Chantilly, VA. Under the direction of the Billing Manager, this job requires a systematic approach by someone with exceptional problem-solving skills who has the ability to work independently and under stress. This role also requires strong Excel skills. The Senior Revenue Assurance and Billing Analyst utilizes Excel to prepare billing analysis reports in graph and pivot table formats, and reports on billing trends and variance analysis month over month. The successful Senior Revenue Assurance and Billing Analyst prepares invoices and commissions, obtains billing consent and calculates amount dues. In addition, this employee participates in and assists with billing audits and month-end closing, calculates billing earnings and prepares client-customer statements for the next month.


  • Ensure contract compliance and accurate billing for assigned customers, including the establishment of processes, procedures and documentation to validate contract compliance and adherence to internal financial controls
  • Exhibit ownership for the administration of billing based on contract specifications and ensure quality and audit controls are in place and adhered to
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other departments; provide constant communication on contract statuses, issues, and deadlines
  • Work closely with Client Services, IT Reporting & Development, Operations and Customer Service to promote billing quality
  • Provide billing analysis, trend analysis, revenue and variance analysis support as well as revenue and variance explanations
  • Create, maintain and update billing process and procedures documentation


  • BS/BA in a business-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, V & H look up, and macros), account reconciliation, batch reconciliation, ability to work with big spreadsheets of data utilizing enhanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP and SOX guidelines is required
  • Ability to multi-task with multiple systems and applications
  • Great Plains experience a plus
  • Employee benefits billing and invoicing a plus
  • Knowledge of billing payment processing systems, products and processes are a plus
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Must exhibit a sound understanding and ability to carry out billing file reconciliations and revenue tie outs
  • Experience in trouble ticket tracking and support
  • Detail-oriented with strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with general instructions on assignments
